Following on from my last post, I sat down to paint my first painting since my miracle and look what came out! I was painting in the background first and trying to see what was there and then I saw them, these two little whimsical characters and a little house. I went with it and discovered that these two are symbolic of what has happened to me and I knew instantly that this would be called ‘You ARE Good Enough!’. How perfect!

It’s been quite an adventure to paint since my miracle, I’ve felt like God is working on me to refine my skills and paintings are happening that are total surprises to me, like this one. I think they are quite cute, don’t you?

Do you ever feel like hiding? Perhaps you keep your ideas to yourself for fear of being laughed at? Or perhaps you don’t let yourself go fully when you are around certain people because you fear you might be judged?

For many years I’ve hidden my true self, only allowing people to see the parts of me that I was ok about sharing. I’ve always been pretty shy and preferred to keep my thoughts and ideas to myself when around others. I even held back with my art for fear of not being ‘good enough’.

Well, on Tuesday I had an amazing experience with God that has released me from a lot of negative thoughts, bad self image and depression that had been looming over me for several years and just recently had become a lot worse. I allowed God to work in me and completely surrendered to Him knowing I could no longer ‘fix’ this myself.

Since then I feel ‘me’ again, I am free of those negative thoughts and feelings about myself, the past doesn’t hurt me anymore and I feel light and free to be me. I can’t tell you how good this feels. I painted ‘Stop Hiding’ last week before my miracle happened and now I believe it is the perfect message that when you step out in faith you will be rewarded.

Trust and be yourself, the world needs you to!

Need a lift? It’s been a little tough for me lately and this latest painting is a cute little reminder - because sometimes you really do need a cuppa and a cake to feel better! (Just not every day lol :D)

Well, I never thought I would be painting chickens! LOL! But every evening we walk past this beautiful homestead while walking Ellie.

The grounds around it always has chickens roaming or bunnies hopping around. It’s just such a delight to see that I couldn’t resist painting my impression of it all.

Next up, the geese by the river!

We’ve had some pretty weird weather here lately. Yesterday we had some mild storms, lot’s of lovely rain and then the sun was out and the rain came down, but where was the rainbow? I couldn’t see it from my house.

I was thinking, I don’t often see them but when I do wow do they blow me away. We once saw a double rainbow when we were walking Ellie, wish I’d had my camera with me.

This little painting ‘Rainbow Cottage’ was inspired by my love of country and rainbows!

Lot’s of sparkle on this one, you know I just couldn’t resist

Summer has definitely arrived here in the UK, it’s been very hot the last couple of weeks. I enjoy getting out a little and sitting under the parasol for short breaks or for dinner but the rest of the time I like to be indoors trying to keep cool.

This has given me the perfect opportunity to do a shop update over at Etsy and share with you some old favs made into prints and some new originals and prints too.

I’ve decided to have a break from ebay for a little while so you can find all my art over at Etsy for the time being.

What do you ‘Hope’ for?

I’ve always loved the 1950’s fashions and beauty, there is just something about the simple, beautiful dresses and the big hair.

This painting was so much fun to do, I love how her eyes came out and how the skin looks. She looks like she is dreaming of something, her eyes focused on something in the distance.

I wonder what she is ‘Hoping’ for?

My dear friend Sherry recently sent me some old bingo cards. At first I didn’t know what I would make with them..but then..BINGO I thought ‘let’s try painting on them’. So I sanded the front gently and then got to painting and look what came about!

‘Love Thy Neighbour’, isn’t it cute!! I am so pleased with this little treasure.

The bingo cards are really sturdy so you can display them just as they are on a mantel or shelf, or you can frame them.

This little one and others to come are now available on ebay.
