Romance in Lille
On the Thursday we got to have a day out in Lille, a large city not far from Thumeries. I was fascinated with the buildings, the Cafes and the shops.
The sidewalks were beautifully lined with trees, just like you see in the movies- and we even saw romance in the air, how sweet!
(I didn’t photograph that of course lol)
Here’s some pics of the centre…
There we so many Cafe’s everywhere and some very chic shops. I’m amazed I didn’t take more photos!
So that’s it from my France adventures, I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing all the pics. Hopefully another adventure won’t be too far in the future.
You can find some of my France photos available as Fine Art Prints in my Etsy store.
Many Blessings,

Beau Jardin – Beautiful Garden
As promised more photos from France! The Chateau grounds were blossoming with lot’s of gorgeous blooms including these beautiful white blossoms.
I loved the red the best!
This is the moat around the Chateau, see those beautiful red blossoms.
Here is the large greenhouse that we where in and out of all week
This is the gate leading onto the woodlands, looks like the entrance to a secret garden doesn’t it!
So that was all the beauty of the grounds I captured and tomorrow I’ll be sharing our pics from our visit to Lille.
See you then,

Back From France!
We’ve been in France all last week for a Church mission trip! It’s been very exciting since this was my first time abroad and I’ve always wanted to go to France. A dream come true!
I took plenty of pics so I could show you where we were and what we did.
This is Chateau Blanc in Thumeries, France. It’s a mission prayer house that is involved with various works and last week a team of us went to help maintain the building and grounds.
This is the view from our bedroom, which you can see in the first pic, it’s the turret at the top
This is the bed we were clearing on the first day, it was pretty overgrown so we got to work weeding and chopping and re-potting.
This is the view looking from the grounds towards the Chateau.
There was much work to do including re-pointing, painting, gardening and more. We all shared out the work and enjoyed the fellowship with each other. In the evenings we went for walks and chatted (there was no tv which was really nice actually!) I really enjoyed the slower pace of life and even though we were working hard every day I felt so much more peaceful than at home trying to do so many different things.
This trip has been great for me in so many ways but especially it’s made me realise even more how I need to get my life in balance – which I’m finding very hard to do! More creativity and less busyness + a slower pace!
How do you create balance? I’d love to hear your tips.
Join me tomorrow when I’ll be posting more info about our trip and more photos.

Dramatic Skies
I hope you all are having a wonderful Easter Holiday weekend, I’ve been busy refreshing my Etsy store today with some stunning dramatic new photography. I decided to move all my photography to my main store to make it easier for you to see what’s new and also easier for me to manage. So, I present to you three new stunning prints taken this year, now available at my Etsy store.
Photography makes me really excited, seeing the beauty and glory of all of God’s creation is just amazing. Expect much more photography over the coming year.
Also, I’m having a special sale on a couple of pieces on ebay. They are on a special 3 day listing starting today and ending on Thursday. They are listed at a lower price so please head on over and check those out.
Well I hope you have a great rest of the day and don’t eat too much chocolate
Love and Blessings,

Something New!
![]()
I just figured out (after having my phone about 2yrs lol) that I can take really cool photos and put them on here and update twitter as I’m out and about! Inspired by the beautiful Marisa I decided to see what my phone could actually do.
The pics above were taken on my phone and I think came out really well, so from now on I’ll be able to take some pics while out and about and upload here to inspire you. Cool huh!
Also, I figured out I can set my alarm clock to play whatever I want to get me up in the mornings. I am NOT a morning person but would like to be and so my plan is to add a cool tune to my phone and place it on our chest of drawers so that I actually HAVE to get up and turn it off. And surely if it is something I love to hear instead of a blaring ringing I will actually ENJOY getting up and start the day right.
Wish me success!
Hope you are having a great day, I’ll be adding another new painting to ebay today so look out for that.
BTW while I am nattering on…does anyone know how to stop your photos on ebay going blurry for the gallery pic? I can’t seem to get it right, when I sharpen them it only makes them more blurry when they are resized by ebay. When I upload as they are they are blurry too, any ideas please?
Off now to do some work for a change

Glorious!
This was the scene on the way home from Church yesterday, all I kept saying was “isn’t this glorious!” Hubby kindly stopped a few times so I could photograph the beauty.
After lunch we went out to walk Ellie, it was so cold but the photographic opportunities were abundant!
This was the view on the way and then check this out as we walked home…
I’ve never seen a sky more beautiful! There is something about snow that changes the landscape and makes everything beautiful.
I’ve taken loads of pics and will be getting them ready to add to my Etsy store for the New Year.
Hope you are staying warm,

Hope
Since the weekend I have had a little fire in me and have been really enjoying my painting more than ever! I’m currently working on not 1 but 7 paintings right now lol!! Three of them are almost ready to add to my shop but need varnishing and photographing first, so I’ll be back tomorrow with those to show you.
In the meantime I’ve added more stunning photography to my store including the amazing sunsets and these…
Enjoy!

A New Adventure…
I’ve been up to something…;)
Today sees the launch of my new adventure The Vintage Artist Photography! For a long time now I have been excited by photography and wondering how it could fit into my life. Some days my painting doesn’t call me but I long to be creative. And after our conversation on ‘Are you a scanner?’ you will know that I love to do many creative projects.
This also comes at a time in my life when I need to spend more time taking in the beauty of this world and focusing on that rather than the not so great parts of life. So I decided to embark on a creative adventure with my camera and present to you my artistic expressions of the world I see around me in a way that reflects my heart.
There are several fine art photographs available right now, each are printed on archival matt paper the same high quality as my other prints.
I will be adding new images regularly and I will of course still be painting too!
Looking forward to sharing more of my world with you…
